Куплю-Продам / Andrus Peat Jersey 2019
« : 22 Август 2019, 11:05:29 »
Pro Football Hall of Famer Morten Andersen became a U.S. citizen last week.Andersen confirmed on Twitter that he has been sworn in as a citizen.“Honored to become a citizen of the greatest country on earth today Andrus Peat Jersey 2019 , very proud to be an American,” Andersen wrote.A kicker who played for the Saints, Falcons, Giants, Chiefs and Vikings, Andersen grew up in Denmark and first encountered American football as an exchange student in high school. He had always had a strong leg in soccer and made an easy transition to football, earning a scholarship to Michigan State after just a few months of playing football and then getting selected in the fourth round of the 1982 NFL draft.Andersen is one of nine foreign-born players in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The others are Tom Fears (Mexico), Ted Hendricks (Guatemala), Bronko Nagurski (Canada) Womens Tyeler Davison 2019 Jersey , Leo Nomellini (Italy), Ernie Stautner (Germany), Jan Stenerud (Norway), Steve Van Buren (Honduras) and Arnie Weinmeister (Canada). The latest chance for Saints fans to show Drew Brees their gratitude for the many memorable, triumphant moments he's brought them comes on Thanksgiving night. The Saints (9-1) are riding an NFL-high, nine-game winning streak as the rival Atlanta Falcons (4-6) land in New Orleans, so don't expect a sleepy crowd in the Superdome, no matter how well-fed.Some 13 seasons after Brees embraced the challenge of resurrecting a downtrodden franchise in a disaster-ravaged city, his level of play White P.J. Williams Jersey , at age 39, appears as high as ever.He is on pace to break his own single-season record completion rate of 72 percent. His touchdown-to-interception ratio is 25-1. And the Saints, averaging 37.9 points per game, are threatening to score more points in a season than any team in NFL history."He's been as challenging a guy to go against over the years as you can imagine," Falcons coach Dan Quinn said, adding that he's been particularly struck by Brees' accuracy and decisiveness. "To say he's doing it better than ever 鈥?he's been doing it pretty well for a long time, but I'd say he's certainly doing it as well."With the luxury of a strong offensive line and running game 鈥?not to mention playing with a lot of leads 鈥?Brees has been able to throw selectively and efficiently. He has also benefited from receiver Michael Thomas' monster year, but demonstrated in a 48-7 win over Philadelphia on Sunday that he can connect, to prolific effect P.J. Williams Jersey 2019 , with younger, lesser-known targets as well."There's a lot to be said for experience," a grinning Brees said as he reprised an old expression about wisdom trumping youth and skill."When we step on the field, I feel like I can see it before it happens, and it takes a lot of work to get to that point. That doesn't mean there's not surprises. ... but I feel good playing the game right now."The Falcons aren't feeling so good about their season so far. Their last-second loss to Dallas last Sunday dropped them five games behind the NFC South-leading Saints with six games left."We've got to get the bad taste out of our mouth," Atlanta receiver Julio Jones said. "It's going to be a great game. We're going to have fun. People are going to fly around. People are going to get up. You don't have to worry about people not being ready to play this game. ... We're just going to be out there swinging."Some other prominent story lines surrounding the 100th meeting between the Falcons and Saints:COMPETITIVE BALANCEWhile the teams are spread apart in the standings, they played each other pretty close the previous time they met in Week 3 in Atlanta. New Orleans needed a late TD to force overtime and won in the extra period. The Saints are nearly two-TD favorites in the rematch, which would seem appropriate given New Orleans has outscored its past two opponents 99-21 combined. But Brees' experience against Atlanta tells him otherwise."These are always hard-fought games," Brees said. "They're games that typically come down to the last possession."Added Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan: "They have a potential high-ceiling offense. ... This is something we have to be aware of."BEASLEY'S REVIVALVic Beasley Jr. New Orleans Saints Tommylee Lewis Jersey , the 2016 NFL leader with 15陆 sacks, finally showed a return to his form with two sacks against the Cowboys last week. Beasley had five sacks in 2017 and only one sack in Atlanta's first nine games this year. The Falcons hope Beasley's resurgence continues this week against Brees. "You have to find ways to pressure," coach Dan Quinn said. "His efficiency without getting hit or without getting moved is so high."RUNNING SAINTSIf Alvin Kamara fails to match the 190 yards from scrimmage he had against Atlanta in Week 3, it might have less to do with Atlanta's defense than with fellow Saints running back Mark Ingram's resurgence. Ingram did not play in the previous meeting because of a four-game suspension stemming from his positive test for a banned substance. In their past two games, the Saints have averaged 208.5 yards rushing, with Ingram have rushed for 100-plus yards in each.NO. 1 RECEIVERJones' touchdown drought is over. He has TD catches in three straight games after having none in Atlanta's first seven. That doesn't mean he wasn't productive all along. Jones leads the NFL with 1,158 yards receiving."He's been playing so well for us all year and has been so consistent," Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said.COMPELLING MATCHUPWhile Brees has not thrown an interception at home this season, the Falcons counter with safety Damontae Kazee Womens Tommylee Lewis 2019 Jersey , who leads the NFL with five interceptions, a career high. He is the first Atlanta player with as many as five interceptions in a season since 2012, when Thomas DeCoud had six and Asante Samuel had five.AP Sports Writer Charles Odum contributed from Atlanta.

Quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver Amari Cooper of the Dallas Cowboys were named to the Pro Bowl on Monday.Prescott and Cooper will take the place of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and wide receiver Michael Thomas Darren Woodson Jersey Stitched , who bowed out of the game due to injuries. The trade of Cooper to Dallas from the Oakland Raiders in October completely altered the trajectory of the Cowboys season. Prescott was given a highly productive weapon on offense that helped Dallas go 7-2 over the final nine weeks of the season to win the NFC East. The duo helped lead the Cowboys to a Wild Card victory over the Seattle Seahawks as well before losing to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round.Cooper caught 75 passes for 1,005 yards and seven touchdowns on the year split between Oakland and Dallas. However, he was on pace for a nearly 1,300-yard season in the nine games he played with Prescott for the Cowboys. In he played the entire year in Dallas at the same pace he showed over his nine games played, Cooper would have posted 94 catches for 1,289 yards and 12 touchdowns.Prescott’s numbers soared after Cooper’s addition as well. He threw for 2,468 yards with 14 touchdowns and four interceptions Cheap Marcus Martin Youth Jersey , a completion percentage of 71.3 and a 103.0 passer rating in the nine games after Cooper joined the team. For the season, Prescott completed 67.7 percent of his attempts for 3,885 yards with 22 touchdowns and eight interceptions. It’s Cooper’s third trip to the Pro Bowl and Prescott’s second. They will join teammates Ezekiel Elliott, DeMarcus Lawrence, Byron Jones and Leighton Vander Esch on the NFC squad. The Chiefs closed the regular season without wide receiver Sammy Watkins Indianapolis Colts Drew Forbes Jersey , safety Eric Berry or running back Spencer Ware in the lineup, but Tuesday brought some encouraging signs for their chances of having them in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Colts. All three players are expected to practice in some capacity as the team kicks off their on-field work for the week. Linebacker Dorian O'Daniel is the only player set to miss practice as he deals with calf and ankle trouble.Watkins has missed five straight games and six of the last seven while dealing with a foot injury. He had 40 catches for 519 yards and three touchdowns before his extended absence to close the regular season.Berry missed the first 13 games of the year with a heel injury and played a limited number of snaps in two games before sitting out against the Raiders. Ware sat out the final three weeks of the year with a hamstring injury. After not adding a single defensive tackle, either in free-agency or the Draft, the Colts may have to look inside the house to find a defensive tackle."Defensive tackle was probably the biggest position of need the Colts had entering the off-season. In free-agency, the Colts were expected to go after big names like Ndamukong Suh or Sheldon Richardson, but they signed no one at the position. Then the Draft came and the Colts were expected to invest an early pick in a defensive tackle, on a guy like Jerry Tillery or Dexter Lawrence Womens Drew Forbes 2019 Jersey , but then again, no defensive tackle was added to the roster. This leaves the Colts with four options at defensive tackle as of today: Margus Hunt, Tyquan Lewis, Denico Autry, and Jihad Ward.Denico Autry was the Colts best defensive lineman last season, and he is expected to start again, after alternating between defensive end and defensive tackle Indianapolis Colts Marvell Tell Jersey , but who will start alongside him? Margus Hunt enjoyed a hot start to the season, but cooled off considerably and disappeared in the playoffs. Tyquan Lewis had an inconsistent rookie season, and he may not be ready to handle full-time starting duties just yet. The best option seems to be Jihad Ward.Ward is an athletic freak with the size and weight to handle 0-tech defensive tackle duties. He is a mountain of a man at 6’5 and 290 lbs and moves fluidly. Ward was having himself a breakout season last year before an ankle injury in Week 7 forced him to IR. Ward played as a substitute in all 6 games prior to the injury, but he still amassed 3 sacks and 3 tackles for loss. Nothing eye-popping, but the production and efficiency was definitely there. On this sack against the Redskins, we can appreciate everything that Ward excels at. He displays his excellent hand usage and strength to demolish Washington’s left guard Shaun Lauvao, he leaves him in the dirt and then gets Alex Smith for the sack. Ward specialty from the little we have seen from him seems to be collapsing pockets from the inside and having the ability to destroy opposing linemen in one-on-one situations. Ward can give the Colts something they lacked last season Cheap Marvell Tell Youth Jersey , pressure from the inside. Ward will also potentially benefit from playing alongside Autry, who is expected to make a permanent move to defensive tackle after the signing of Justin Houston. Autry had an excellent season, racking up 9.5 sacks, leading the team in the department. The main weakness I see in Ward’s game is that he failed to garner double-teams, which is essentially the main job of the 0-tech defensive tackle: opening up lanes for his teammates. Still, opposing teams will take quick notice that if Ward is left one-on-one with a guard, then the pocket will almost surely collapse. What is most encouraging about Ward is his impeccable work ethic. The leap he made from his 2nd to his 3rd year demonstrates he is more than willing to put in the work and grind to become a better football player. This off-season Ward worked out with Colts legend Robert Mathis to improve his pass-rushing moves. His hand usage is consistently the topic of viral videos Indianapolis Colts Al Woods Jersey , as he is incredibly quick. If the workout videos can translate to the field, then the Colts will have found the guy they were looking for to play defensive tackle.

TAMPA Seth DeValve Jersey Stitched , Fla. (AP) — Once again, close wasn’t good enough for the Cleveland Browns, who keep finding ways to lose.Chandler Catanzaro’s 59-yard field goal in overtime officially took them down in Sunday’s 26-23 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, the Browns themselves also had a lot to do with the result. In addition to failing to score on two possessions deep in Buccaneers territory, Cleveland was penalized 14 times for 114 yards, lost a fumble near midfield in overtime and managed to turn four Tampa Bay turnovers into only seven points.“It’s very frustrating any time you lose, especially because you could have done a lot of things better,” rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield said. “That seems to be the moral of the season.”The Browns (2-4-1) fell to 1-2-1 in overtime games this season and lost their 24th consecutive road loss dating to October 2015. That’s two shy of the NFL record set by the Detroit Lions from 2007-10.Six of their seven games have been decided by four or fewer points. Their four OT games are the most any team has played since 2011, when Arizona won all four it played. The league record is five by the Green Bay Packers in 1983.“We’ve got to capitalize on defensive turnovers,” Mayfield said. “The defense is playing great. … If we take those points when we can, I don’t think some of these games would be close.”A sputtering offense has been part of the problem. The Browns had 126 yards through three quarters and finished with 305.Coach Hue Jackson said that has to change, even if he has to get more involved.“I totally have to figure that out, and jump in head-first, all hands, feet, everything. It’s just that simple Youth Trevon Coley Jersey ,” Jackson said, adding that he’s not concerned that interjecting himself might be perceived as interfering with offensive coordinator Todd Haley.“I feel I have to, and I want to. That’s nothing against anybody on our building. … If the offense isn’t playing well, and we haven’t over a period of time, I think I have every right as a head coach to jump in and see if I can help and assist, and get this thing to where it needs to be,” Jackson said. “If that’s my specialty, then I need to be involved more, and I will be.”In addition to being stopped on downs at the Tampa Bay 1 when they were trailing 23-16 in the fourth quarter, the Browns also came away without points in the closing seconds of the first half when Mayfield — scrambling on fourth-and-2 from the Bucs‘ 11 — fumbled backward out of bounds as he appeared to be closing in on a first down.Jackson said he gambled on fourth down because he felt the team, trailing 16-2 at the time, needed a spark.“Baker was running for it, and the guy stripped the ball out and the ball goes backwards. That normally doesn’t happen,” Jackson said. “We could have kicked the field goal, no question, but I thought our offense needed something to feel good about in the first half.”For his part Trevon Coley Jersey Stitched , Mayfield — 23 of 34 passing for 215 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions — said he should have done a better job of protecting the football.“I wish I would have switched hands, that’s the main thing,” the No. 1 overall draft pick said.“Either kicking the field goal or me switching the ball to the other hand, those points matter down there,” Mayfield added. “Any points are good points at that point of the game. You’ve got to take care of the ball.” Isaiah Crowell entered the press room at the New York Jets' facility and promptly excused himself to use the bathroom. No, you can't make this stuff up.The running back, of course, has been in the headlines lately for his butt-wiping touchdown celebration at Cleveland on Sept. 20. It drew a penalty 鈥?as well as the ire of coach Todd Bowles 鈥?and resulted in a fine of $13,369 by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct ."I talked to Todd about what happened on the field and I told him it wouldn't happen again," Crowell said Wednesday. But Crowell also received an endorsement deal out of the whole mess, with pictures of him holding boxes of a toilet paper alternative for men splattered all over social media by the running back and the company Dude Wipes. It provided a bit of a questionable look 鈥?especially since Bowles had been so angered by the crude celebration."As far as the endorsement deal, I don't want to get too much into that," Crowell said. "I didn't mean any disrespect to anybody. I've got a lot of respect for everybody that's in the building and, I mean, that's really how I feel."He repeated those sentiments when asked if he thought he was making light of the situation by accepting an endorsement deal as a result."It won't happen again Youth Rashard Higgins Jersey ," Crowell said. "We talked about the on-field stuff and it won't happen again. We're moving forward after that."It all started when Crowell scored against the Browns, for whom he spent his first four NFL seasons before signing with the Jets in the offseason. After reaching the end zone, Crowell took the football, wiped it against his rear end and then fired it into the stands.Bowles spoke to Crowell to make it clear that he didn't approve of his player's actions. Crowell insisted after the game that he wasn't trying to send a message to the Browns. He was only having fun, he said, but felt bad about the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty his celebration drew."The play itself won't happen again on our field," Bowles said. "I can't do anything about anybody's endorsement deals off the field, but on this team it won't happen."Bowles said he didn't consider benching Crowell at the time because he didn't see the celebration until watching the game film. When asked if he was disciplined by the team, Crowell said he was punished by the NFL with the fine 鈥?but wouldn't say whether he would appeal."I mean, that's my business, right?" he said.Crowell, who leads the Jets with 171 yards rushing and four touchdowns, just wanted to flush away the chatter about his TD wipe."I really don't want to keep talking about the endorsement deals," he said. "I want to keep my focus on the upcoming games, if I can."

CHARLOTTE Fozzy Whittaker Color Rush Jersey , N.C. (AP) — Panthers coach Ron Rivera wants his players to get away from football, just for a little while.A day after a humiliating 52-21 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina's eighth-year coach said it may just be what the Panthers need."Sometimes the best medicine is to forget about it and then come back ready to roll," Rivera said Friday, adding that they should focus on something other than football. That advice doesn't apply to Rivera and his coaching staff.Rivera said coaches will spend the next few days pouring over game film, looking for solutions and making adjustments, particularly on the offensive and defensive lines where the Panthers were overwhelmed by the Steelers in the road loss. The coach wouldn't say if he's considering any changes to the starting lineup.Quarterback Cam Newton was sacked five times and threw a crucial pick-six out of desperation to avoid taking a safety in the end zone, while the defense never was able to stop Ben Roethlisberger, who turned in a perfect QB rating (158.3) after throwing for 328 yards and five touchdowns. The 52 points allowed tied the most in franchise history. The Panthers (6-3) are still in good shape in the NFC playoff picture, but Rivera expressed concern knowing the NFL is a copycat league and upcoming opponents will look to simulate what the Steelers did against them."It is a beg Rashaan Gaulden Jersey , borrow and steal league," Rivera said. "Guys are going to look at this tape and see what (the Steelers) did and have answers. We as coaches, as I said, are not done evaluating tape and going through it and trying to correct things."Pittsburgh's defense brought more pass rushers than the Panthers were able to block, often resulting in 5-foot-11, 210-pound running back Christian McCaffrey desperately trying to pick up linemen who outweighed him by almost 100 pounds. That didn't go well.Rivera said the Steelers defense threw some new looks at Carolina's revamped offensive line and the guys up front didn't recognize or adjust to them."Sometimes you see things for the first time, things that they do a little differently, with a little twist to them, it makes things difficult," Rivera said. "We have to be able to handle those things. We have to stick to our rules Thomas Davis Color Rush Jersey , our base fundamentals."Meanwhile, Carolina's defense failed to generate much of any pressure on Roethlisberger. There were times he danced around in the pocket untouched for nearly 10 seconds.Rivera said that has to change. He plans to continue to rotate defensive linemen in and out of the lineup "until we find something that clicks on the pass rush side."Carolina's stadium was noticeably quiet and somber on a dark, gray afternoon. After what he called a "very humbling experience to be beat the way we were," Rivera still gave players four days off — as previously planned before the game — beginning Friday. They'll return to practice Tuesday to begin preparations for the Nov. 18 game at Detroit. For some, that wasn't by choice.Tight end Greg Olsen said after the game Thursday night that he wishes the Panthers had a four-day week this week and he could get back on the field to wash this loss out of their mouths instead of waiting 10 days for the next game."We just got thoroughly beaten in a game that we were looking forward to, a game that we thought we could really measure ourselves against one of the better teams in the league," Olsen said. "We got that answer. We got a lot of work to do."NOTES: Rivera said he plans to ask the league for a clarification on why safety Eric Reid was ejected Thursday night after hitting a sliding Roethlisberger on a downfield scramble. Rivera said he agreed Reid should have been penalized, but felt he shouldn't have been kicked out of the game. ATLANTA (AP)The new owner of the Carolina Panthers is committed to keeping the team in the Carolinas. And Charlotte is clearly his preferred choice. But David Tepper left a bit of wiggle room on his first day as owner of the team. The NFL unanimously approved Tepper’s $2.2 billion purchase of the team from Jerry Richardson on Tuesday, leading to immediate questions about the new owner’s thoughts on replacing 22-year-old Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.”What’s the name of the team? Carolina Panthers. It’s going to be the Carolina Panthers,” Tepper said. ”And that means this team has to have some kind of presence in the Carolinas and last time I saw https://www.carolinapanthersfanshop.com/Cameron-Artis-Payne-Jersey , how many are there? That’s right, there’s two of them.”Tepper seemed to be implying that he might consider other cities in North and South Carolina if efforts to build a new stadium in Charlotte fall through. The lease with Bank of America Stadium runs for only one more season. But Tepper reiterated several times that the largest city in the Carolinas is the best place for the team.”There is a logical place for this team, and it’s Charlotte,” he said. ”And far as a new stadium, again, you’re asking me too much and the only thing I have a market on now is lack of knowledge. I’ll call it stupidity, so I’ve got that down. I’ll learn a lot more in the future.”Tepper’s purchase was the first order of business at the league’s spring meeting in Atlanta. He was quickly approved after passing muster with the owners’ finance committee during a morning session.”We congratulate David and welcome him to the NFL,” Commissioner Roger Goodell said.Tepper is paying an NFL-record price to buy the team from Jerry Richardson, the team’s founder and only owner since the Panthers entered the league in 1995.Richardson abruptly announced he was selling the team last December after coming under investigation from the league for sexual and racial misconduct in the workplace. The probe is ongoing.Tepper is the founder and president of global hedge fund Appaloosa Management, with a reported net worth of $11 billion. Already familiar to the league as a minority owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers https://www.carolinapanthersfanshop.com/J.J.-Jansen-Jersey , his purchase was quickly approved.Tepper said he plans to formally take over the team in July.In the meantime, he reserved judgment on both a new stadium and those who are running the football side of things, most notably general manager Marty Hurney and coach Ron Rivera.”I do think they have a great team down there right now,” Tepper said. ”The biggest thing I can do is have a great appreciation of how stupid I am. Sometimes, it’s better to do nothing than to do something.”Bank of America will be the NFL’s seventh-oldest stadium after Los Angeles opens its new facility for the Rams and Chargers , and the Raiders complete their move from Oakland to Las Vegas .That has raised the prospect of the Panthers seeking another home if they can’t get a new stadium of their own.Tepper touched on the idea of bringing a Major League Soccer team to Charlotte, which could improve the financial viability of a new stadium. The city was passed over in MLS’ latest round of expansion.”The first thing I care about is winning. The second thing I care about is winning. And the third thing I care about is?” he said, waiting for the media to give the obvious answer. ”That’s on and off the field. That includes charity aspect, community aspect and how you make a community better. So you win a lot of ways, and I don’t like losing in any way.”Rivera said he looks forward to working with the new owner.”He has a sense and a feel for football and he has been around it https://www.carolinapanthersfanshop.com/Mike-Adams-Jersey ,” the coach said. ”Eventually I know we will sit down and talk some football and talk about this team.”While the owners were approving Tepper, the new-look Panthers were holding their first organized workouts some 250 miles away in Charlotte.”For a lot of people, I am sure they are ready for some closure and for that transition to start,” tight end Greg Olsen said. ”I think this transition has been inevitable for a little while since it was announced that the team would be sold. I think for a lot of people in the building, the players, the team, just to put all of this to rest and move forward in the new direction that the team is going with.”—

After each game during the Cowboys 2018 season we posted grades on each position group. Now we’re handing out final grades. We covered the secondary last week and this week we look at the linebacker unit. First Jay Novacek Color Rush Jersey , let’s recognize that unlike the team’s secondary unit, the Cowboys have invested significant resources in the linebacker group:The Cowboys top trio of Jaylon Smith, Leighton Vander Esch and Sean Lee were all premium draft picks, taken in the first or second round. While Smith and Vander Esch are still on relatively cheap rookie deals, Sean Lee had the third highest cap hit on the team in 2018 ($10.1M).Lee’s inability to stay on the field severely compromised the team’s 2017 season and the Cowboys aggressively addressed that situation in the 2018 draft. At the time, it seemed like a move that was looking more towards 2019 and beyond but the decision proved prescient as Lee was again injured and his play declined in the 2018 season. As a result, Smith and LVE are now the entrenched starters going into 2019. StatisticsSmith and Vander Esch combined for 261 tackles which is a monster number for a linebacker tandem. LVE’s 140 tackles ranked third in the entire NFL (behind fellow rookie Darius Leonard and Green Bay’s Blake Martinez), earning him second-team All-Pro honors. This, despite LVE starting only 11 games. By comparison, Sean Lee topped 104 tackles exactly once in his career - in 2016 when he earned All-Pro honors with 145 tackles.Jaylon Smith continued his miraculous return from a devastating injury many thought had ended his career. One of the unappreciated accomplishments of Smith has been his ability to stay healthy. He has now started 34 games in two seasons. Many athletes returning from major injury will suffer nagging, soft-tissue injuries when they return. Smith https://www.dallascowboysfanshop.com/Bill-Bates-Jersey , instead, has been plug-and-play reliable. His 120 tackles doesn’t capture all he contributed as he frequently rushed the passer on passing downs (negating the ability to record tackles on such plays). Luckily, splash play statistics do reflect Smith’s contributions from rushing the passer. Bob Sturm of The Athletic keeps track of splash plays and I’ve charted out his numbers from the season:Here we see Smith’s impact as he recorded virtually every type of splash play possible:Fumbles caused: 2Fumbles recovered: 2Sacks: 4Passes defensed: 5Runs stuffed: 3Holding penalties drawn: 2Fourth-down stops: 1 (he actually had two, one against Houston and one against Philadelphia but I’m using Sturm’s stats here)Finally, he recorded the team’s only defensive touchdown of the season on this scintillating play against Tampa Bay:In total, Smith recorded 23 splash plays on the season or about 1.5 per game. Vander Esch claimed 18 splash plays and, due to fewer snaps played, had a similar snaps per splash (42) to Smith (44). Not all splash plays are equal. An interception is obviously worth more than a tipped pass and a fourth-down stop more valuable than a run stuff. Let’s look at the unit’s splash points:The splash points again illustrate Smith’s dynamic contributions. His 30 splash points ranked second on the team (DeMarcus Lawrence led with 51) and was 13 full points over Jeff Heath’s third ranked 17 splash points. LVE ranked fourth with 16 splash points, driven by his two interceptions. Those turnovers helped him earn NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month in November. In short, both LVE and Jaylon Smith contributed play after play, evidenced by their tackle numbers Charles Haley Jersey , but they also were wreaking havoc creating splash plays that can be game-changers. Here’s how it looks in chart form:We see that on a per-play basis all the linebackers were making plays. There’s serious reasons for fans to be optimistic about this group, particularly Smith and Vander Esch. Both are under 25 and only entering the prime of their careers. The prospect of these two patrolling sideline-to-sideline together for the next 4+ years, frankly, leaves me drooling. Just a reminder of some of their contributions:One thing to consider when evaluating this (or any) group is what resources has the team invested in this group? The following shows each player’s:Draft value (using commonly defined values found at places like Ourlads Scouting Services)2018 salary cap numberNumber of defensive snaps playedPercent of defensive snaps playedApproximate Value as defined by Pro Football Reference (for an in-depth insight into this metric and it’s strengths and weaknesses I encourage you to read One Cool Customer’s great post)We also see what PFR’s AV metric thought of the group. The following table (shout out to OCC) is a useful guide when looking at AV:As we see, PFR’s AV metric graded both Smith and LVE to be at the high end of the “starter quality” range. As AV is a counting metric, they’re really saying LVE played at an All Pro/Pro Bowl level. This corresponds with the eye test which certainly left most of us thinking both were Pro Bowl caliber players. Having two players in the same position unit ranking so high is a luxury; having both of them on rookie contracts is a lavish luxury. Damien Wilson and Sean Lee should not go unmentioned here. They both contributed given their opportunities. Weekly GradesNow we’ll look at the unit’s weekly grades as assigned by yours truly. Obviously, these grades are only one man’s opinion and your mileage may vary. Here’s the grades and a “points” system I developed for this effort:There’s a lot to like here, unfortunately, the season ended on a bummer performance for this unit. The group enjoyed all As and Bs for most of the season (except for a 2-game blip against Washington and Tennessee) until heading to December for a week 15 game. But in the final month of the season the linebackers twice struggled mightily. First, in what should have been a warning of what could come, the Colts simply steamrolled the entire Cowboys’ defense and the LB unit was a prime culprit. Then again in the team’s playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams this unit simply had no answers. In both cases opponent’s simply ran at will and the young linebackers never seemed to catch their balance. Sometimes they read plays wrong; sometimes they reacted too slow L. P. Ladouceur Color Rush Jersey , sometimes they got beat one-on-one. It kind of felt like these were students who worked hard and progressed throughout the year but then came up short on the final exam. Final Grade: BIf we average the linebacker’s play over the entire season we come up with a grade of 3.5, which is right between a B and a B-. I’ll round up in this case and give this very young, promising group a well-deserved B. Going into 2019 it’s clear the LVE/Smith duo are the top two backers who should expect to be on the field for virtually every snap. It would be nice to have Sean Lee as insurance but to do so he’ll have to take a significant pay cut (something I think is very possible). I assume Damien Wilson has played his last play as a Cowboy as I expect he’ll attract a significant contract the Cowboys will not be willing to match. I expect Joe Thomas - who impressed in preseason but saw little regular season action - to be back next season on an inexpensive deal.Chris Covington, drafted in 2018, should also be in the mix. I also expect the Cowboys will draft a LBer in the fourth through seventh rounds because you pretty much always need such players as depth and for special teams. He’s a summary of the two units we’ve looked at thus far, graded by week:And here’s an overview of these two units:You see the difference in resources invested as the Cowboys’ secondary ranked dead last in NFL spending and also had small draft investment. Next up, we’ll look at the defensive line. Hey, guess what? Jason Witten is returning to Dallas. Only this time, he will be trading in that glorious no. 82 jersey for a suit and tie as he makes his first ever Cowboys broadcast for ESPN’s Monday Night Football. It’s always great to hear Witten’s voice as the future Hall of Famer has been such an integral part of the Cowboys for the past 15 seasons. Nobody has caught more passes in a Cowboys uniform than Witten. He has hauled in 1,152 receptions over his career, and it’s not even close. Michael Irvin is a distant second Taco Charlton Jersey , trailing Witten by more than 400 catches. The legacy of Jason Witten is truly a great one as he’s embodied not only what it means to be a great player, but what it means to be a great person. His character has been admired by Cowboys fans for years and is one of the reasons ESPN put the lovable Witt in the broadcast booth. On Monday night, he’ll return to his old stomping grounds and you better believe the Cowboys organization will have something special planned for him before the game.In fact, it was only last year when Tony Romo made his return to Dallas, broadcasting the game for CBS when the Cowboys hosted the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9. The Cowboys honored Romo with a tear-jerking tribute video, narrated by none other than Jason Witten.Well, it’s Week 9 again and it’s Witten that is making his return to Dallas. Could it be deja v煤 all over again with Romo returning the favor and narrating a tribute video for Witten? It just feels like a foregone conclusion that this will happen and don’t be surprised if Witten has trouble holding back the tears like Romo did last year. For years these two guys helped carry this team to victory for many Sundays and they will always have a special place in our hearts. But on this day, we’ll take a moment to honor a Cowboys legend, and there is no better person to do the talking than his BFF.

The Denver Broncos are coming out of their Bye week at 3-6 with a mere 8-point differential in games Max Garcia Color Rush Jersey , which means they are losing a lot of close games. Part of that has come down to the teams inability to score more points in those close games. Holding the Houston Texans to 19 points at home should be a win most weeks, but under Vance Joseph they are piling up the losses. After reviewing film, Joseph talked about what the Broncos need to do moving forward to generate different results in the scoreboard.“I think offensively we have to obviously start faster and score more points early,” Joseph said on Monday. “Obviously, being better in the red zone and being better on third downs—the numbers don’t lie there. I think defensively we had a couple games where we didn’t stop the run. Our nickel run defense wasn’t very good. Our base run defense was really good. Obviously, taking the ball away more and helping our team that way, we need more of that. On special teams, our return units have to get better. There’s a lot of things that we watched and saw that we can get better at.”The defense and special teams units seem to be mostly doing enough to win games. The struggles are coming from the offense. Despite Case Keenum having his best game of the season, the Broncos came away with a mere 17 points at home. That’s not going to win many games. For Joseph Bradley Chubb Jersey , the key is starting faster. “I think the first 15-20 plays of the game, you can tell right away if your plan is pretty good or if your plan is not good or if it’s player error,” Joseph said. “In my experience in this league, in that first 15-20 plays, you can tell right away. If your plan is good, if your team matches up well, you just know. I think in the first 15-20 on both sides of the ball, we have to play better football. Last week against the Texans, the first drive https://www.broncosfanstore.com/Andy-Janovich-Jersey , they score on us. Now, we had some player error in that drive that we can’t have, but offensively, we didn’t get our first first down until almost the second quarter. We can’t have droughts like that and expect to win games.”In a bit of irony, the Broncos have been starting fast. They rank second in the NFL in first-quarter scoring behind only the Kansas City Chiefs. It has been after the first quarter where the offense has faltered. They rank 24th in second-quarter scoring, 19th in third-quarter scoring, and 26th in fourth-quarter scoring.Apparently, Joseph is talking about just this last game and not taking the entire season into account. Starting fast is important, but finishing is even more vital and the Broncos offense isn’t finishing anything after that first quarter in games. For Joseph Matt Paradis Color Rush Jersey , everything is on the table and desperation is setting in.“Absolutely, our team is desperate,” Joseph said. “When you watch us play, we do play a desperate brand of football. I told the guys, hope can’t be your strategy. You can’t hope to win, you can’t luck-in to win an NFL game. It’s too hard. We have to play better football. We have to score more points early and play dominant defense. That’s our brand of football. Hope can’t be your strategy. You’ve got to play better.”We saw that brand of desperation last week as Joseph chased points at the end of the first half with an inadvisable 62-yard field goal attempt that ended up giving the Texans the decisive field goal. We saw that desperation when he again settled for a 50-plus yard field goal instead of risking a negative play at the end of the game.“Whatever it takes,” Joseph said when asked how the team will score more points. “It’s as simple as that. Score more points—whatever it takes.”The Broncos must win. Whatever it takes. NFL Insider, Benjamin Allbright, joined the crew from Orange and Blue 760 today to talk about Denver’s offseason so far. Around the 9:00 mark Carlos Henderson Jersey , he addresses Denver’s offensive coordinator search and the expected hiring of Rich Scangarello.Allbright, who knows Scangarello said Denver would be getting a great X’s and O’s coordinator who’s calling card is quarterback and wide receiver development (know any young wide receivers who need development?). It was Scangarello who found 49ers quarterback Nick Mullens and convinced Kyle Shanahan to sign him as an undrafted free agent in 2017.“Coach Scangarello, he pretty much found me,” Mullens said. “I was at East-West Shrine game in [St. Petersburg, Florida] and I guess he liked the things that I did in that game and in those practices. And then he followed up with me with a phone call after that.””Then I took a visit here to the facility in [Santa Clara, California]. The 49ers showed me the most interest all the way through the draft process. So, in the sixth round, they gave me a call, said they wanted to sign me as a free agent.”Allbright also credited Rich for finding J.T. O’Sullivan while coaching at UC Davis. While not lighting the league on fire https://www.broncosfanstore.com/Ronald-Leary-Jersey , O’Sullivan went on to have a long football career. Scangarello has a knack for finding guys that don’t have all the physical tools and getting the most out of them. Lastly, while perhaps his career path has not been the most orthodox, Allbright suggests this might actually benefit him because “innovation in football typically occurs at the lower levels”. It has taken the NFL years to catch on to spread trends that have been commonplace at the lower levels of football for over a decade. Thus, exposure to D-II and the FCS levels in the coaching ranks gives Scangarello a broad base of experience, to pair with his knowledge of Kyle Shanahan’s system.Be on the lookout for the news to potentially become official tomorrow, and give the interview above a listen for some great insight on Denver’s potential offensive coordinator.

CHICAGO (AP) — Cody Parkey sat by his locker with a glazed look Cheap Cameron Meredith Jersey , struggling to explain how he did it again. The Chicago Bears‘ embattled kicker somehow managed to nail yet another upright and hit the crossbar while missing a 43-yard field goal in the closing seconds of a 16-15 wild-card loss to the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.“You can’t make this up,” Parkey said.It was a cruel and appropriate end to a season in which he managed to hit uprights while missing field goals and extra points six times. This one came at the worst possible moment.Nick Foles gave Philadelphia a 16-15 lead on a 2-yard touchdown pass to Golden Tate. Wendell Smallwood got stopped on a 2-point conversion run, Tarik Cohen returned the kickoff 35 yards to the 42, and the Bears (12-5) appeared to be in business. They had third-and-2 at the 25 when Mitchell Trubisky missed Anthony Miller on a deep pass down the middle. With 10 seconds remaining, the Bears turned to Parkey, hoping their kicker could extend their breakthrough season. After making three field goals earlier in the game, he sent one right between the uprights with a few feet to spare. But the Eagles called time to ice him so it didn’t count.Parkey then thought he booted a “great ball” on the next attempt. Several Eagles, however, said defensive tackle Treyvon Hester touched it.The kick hit halfway up the upright and ricocheted off the crossbar, bringing the Bears’ breakthrough season to an end.“There’s really no answer to it,” Parkey said. “I thought I hit a good ball. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it. I feel terrible, 100 percent take that loss on me. It is what it is. Sun is going to shine tomorrow. Life is going to go on. Unfortunately, it’s going to sting for a while.”At times this season, it seemed Parkey had as much success hitting uprights as he did converting kicks. He hit four while missing two field goals and two extra points in a win over Detroit at Soldier Field. He also hit one while missing an extra point in the regular-season finale at Minnesota.“I’m going to do everything I can to take the human side of it,” coach Matt Nagy said. “I think the easiest way you look at it is that you put yourself in his situation. You think he tried to miss it? No, I know that. But you’ve got to learn from it. You’ve got to figure out the why part, and he’ll do that, and we need to do that, too.”Parkey’s penchant for hitting uprights was one of the biggest mysteries this season. And his status becomes one of their biggest offseason question marks. If the Bears don’t release him, they could bring in someone to compete with him. After signing a four-year contract, Parkey was 26 of 34 on field goals Devin Hester Jersey Limited , counting the playoffs. On extra points, he was 42 for 45.“It was tough,” star linebacker Khalil Mack said. “But you’ve got to learn from this. I was praying, praying real hard, but things happen for a reason. I told him to keep his head up. That’s a tough pill to swallow for a guy in that position. But that’s still a teammate, that’s your brother.”Guard Kyle Long also rushed to his teammate’s defense.“I just told him, ‘Dude, you had like half our points,” Long said. “I can’t even imagine what he’s going through. It’s a tough job. It’s a really tough job. I just wanted to make sure that he understood we all had his back. And I think every single guy in here did the same thing I did. … We lost as a team.” LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — One more victory to finish the regular season was in the books and that meant the party was on at "Club Dub."The Chicago Bears were swaying and jumping and pumping their fists as the strobe lights flashed and "Swag Surfing" by Fast Life Yungstaz blasted through the visitors' locker room at Minnesota. The video then cut to coach Matt Nagy leading his players as they raised their right arms and thrusted them toward the ground. "Boom!" they yelled."One more!" Nagy screamed."Boom!""And another!" he yelled again."Boom!""Ooh, that feels good!" Nagy said. How could it not?The Bears (12-4) have been lowering the boom on just about everyone they have faced in their first season under Nagy, a magical ride where the next stop is Sunday when they host defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia in their first playoff game in eight years. Chicago comes in with an NFC North title after four straight last-place finishes, nine wins in 10 games and a belief that anything is possible.Nagy inherited what looked like a major rebuild when he became the Bears' 16th head coach. Chicago went 14-34 the previous three seasons under John Fox and won 13 games in two years under Marc Trestman. But Nagy already has more victories than any other rookie coach in franchise history. Beyond that, he has made Sundays fun again in Chicago. He is demanding and creative, running trick plays with names like "Santa's Sleigh" and turning the locker room into a virtual nightclub after victories. His demeanor seems to resonate with players and fans.To the people who have known him the longest, none of this is all that surprising. They saw the charm and determination as he developed into a star quarterback at Manheim Central in Pennsylvania's Amish Country and a record-setter at Delaware. He's in quite a spot at age 40, considering he was just about out of pro football a decade earlier. With a young family, he was selling new homes after the Arena Football League folded. He got the break he needed from Andy Reid in Philadelphia with an assist from a college teammate. And look at him now."I think if you're given a chance and you're driven and you're obsessed and you are consumed with being given an opportunity to make people right or prove yourself right, then the sky is the limit," Nagy said.Bill Nagy thinks back to when his son was in about the eighth grade and a clown in a dunk tank on the boardwalk in Seaside Park, New Jersey, wouldn't stop taking playful jabs at the boy.The more the clown ran his mouth Cheap Gale Sayers Jersey , the more determined Matt Nagy became."It was maybe $2 for three throws," Bill Nagy said. "He was so sure that he was going to hit the bullseye and knock the clown into the water. I'll tell you what, I must have ponied up probably $20. Matt kept asking me for $2 at a time because this clown was just talking smack and making fun of him. … He didn't want to leave until he hit that bullseye and sent him into the water. He finally did it."Bill Nagy was a college defensive tackle who has taught and coached at the high school level off and on since the 1970s. He was the defensive line coach for a powerhouse team at Elizabeth High School in New Jersey when Todd Bowles — who Matt Nagy would work with on Reid's staff in Philadelphia — was a star.By the time his son dunked that clown, Bill Nagy had already noticed certain skills and leadership as the young quarterback worked his way through Manheim's youth program.Gail Stouch saw an innate charisma in Nagy, an only child, even when he was just a few years old. She moved the family about 150 miles west to her hometown of Manheim from Piscataway when he was about 3, shortly after divorcing Bill. It didn't take him long to start developing a wide network of friends particularly when he started playing sports."He has that charismatic personality that people gravitate toward," she said. "It's interesting. Outgoing."It wasn't always smooth for Nagy. His drive may have led to some confrontations early on with his high school coach Mike Williams over a play call, mistake or some other disagreement. But they worked through it, forged a strong bond. And Nagy led Manheim Central to two state semifinals in the 1990s."I like players who show emotion, who have a pulse so to speak," said Williams, a head coach for 34 years. "He certainly had a pulse. I really didn't think it was overboard. A couple times there were maybe disagreements, but that was just short-term. Halfway through his junior year, we clicked on everything."Williams also saw a leader, someone who just had a way with others. He was the one other kids gravitated to."He had a good group of friends, and it was a variety," Stouch said. "Lots of them. Not necessarily all involved in sports. … As far as coaching, he loved kids. And he loved being a teacher of younger kids. You have to have that leadership and take control, set the example."Nagy coached youth football with a friend in high school and worked camps at Delaware, where he remains the school's all-time leader in yards passing."He's the type of guy that would be good at anything he does because he's a super-motivated dude," said Jason Nerys Cheap Jonathan Bullard Jersey , a college teammate.About two years ago, Nagy predicted at a booster club luncheon in his hometown that he would become an NFL head coach someday. But he didn't draw it up this way.He thought he was going to the New York Giants coming out of college in 2001, only to lose that opportunity after they drafted Jesse Palmer in the fourth round. There was a tryout with the Packers that didn't lead to a contract. He spent six years in the Arena League before it folded following the 2008 season. He got his job selling new construction houses for a company back home around that time and got internships at training camp in back-to-back summers for Philadelphia with an assist from college teammate Brett Veach, who was working for the Eagles. In 2010, Nagy had a decision to make. Reid was offering full-time work as a coaches assistant, but it came with a significant pay cut, a risky move with a young family.Nagy talked it over with his wife and high school sweetheart Stacey, and decided to take the plunge. For about the first six months, that meant hitting the road at 3:30 a.m. every day so he could make it to the facility 99 miles away by 5. But he kept working his way up the coaching tree from there while following Reid to Kansas City, becoming the Chiefs‘ quarterbacks coach, offensive coordinator and ultimately their play-caller late last season. The Bears liked the looks of him and the potential chemistry with their young quarterback, Mitchell Trubisky. Nagy was still 39 when his booster club prediction came true."If you were to say to me, ‘You're going to get these opportunities, what would you do with it?'" Nagy said. "I'd tell you I'd be right here. But I was able to get to this point for one reason, and that's through all of the support system I have with family, friends, coaches, mentors and players. That's the reason I'm here."

ROSEMONT Pat O'Donnell Jersey , Ill. (AP) — As the ball hit the upright and crossbar, Robbie Gould could imagine how Cody Parkey felt. The Chicago Bears‘ breakthrough season came to a crushing conclusion, particularly for their embattled kicker.“I’ve been there,” he said. “I’ve missed game-winning kicks, too.”Parkey’s miss off the left upright and crossbar in the closing seconds of a 16-15 wild-card loss to Philadelphia at home turned out to be his final attempt as a member of the Bears. A person familiar with the situation said Friday that the Bears have decided to release him. That figures to fuel more speculation about Gould returning to Chicago. He’s scheduled to become a free agent on March 13. The Bears need a kicker. And the million dollar — or multimillion dollar — question is whether they will bring back their career scoring leader.“The McCaskey family (owners) changed my family’s life,” said Gould, who watched from a suite at Soldier Field with his wife and three young sons as the Bears lost to the Eagles. “They gave us a lot of great opportunities in one of the greatest sports cities you’ll ever find. I’m thankful that they gave me that opportunity. I’ll be forever thankful. My kids will be raised Bears fans. This is home.”Gould spoke Friday at the Chicago Golf Show. He is promoting a software system called Eventlify that helps organizers manage all aspects of golf events.Gould converted more than 85 percent of his field goals and missed just four of his 383 extra points as a member of the Bears from 2005-15. He amassed 1,207 points before general manager Ryan Pace and former coach John Fox let him go just before the start of the 2016 season. In the three years since he has combined to make 82 of 85 field goals for the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers. Chicago kickers, by comparison, are 57 of 75 in that span.Parkey simply didn’t give the Bears the consistency they’ve been seeking since letting Gould go. Signed to a four-year contract last March, he made 23 of 30 field goals for the third-lowest conversion rate in the NFL. He was 42 of 45 on extra points. Six of his misses, counting the playoffs, hit uprights. And he didn’t endear himself to the team’s hierarchy by appearing on the “Today” show a few days after that playoff loss, a move coach Matt Nagy referred to as “a ‘me’ thing.”Gould might command a rather high price https://www.thebearsfanshop.com/Kyle-Long-Jersey , particularly if the 49ers place the franchise tag on him.“They have the opportunity to get a contract done with me,” he said. “Obviously, they have exclusive rights to talk to me until free agency opens. There’s no reason not to. … At this point, I’m just enjoying being around my kids and not really worried about the football contract.”Gould insisted he has no hard feelings toward the Bears for letting him go. He was shaky in the 2016 preseason after missing six field goals the previous year to match a career high he set as a rookie. But he has been just about automatic the past three years thanks to some adjustments in his footwork. At 36, he plans to play “until they tell me no.”Gould still lives in the Chicago area. His wife Lauren is from here. And in a few weeks, they plan to move into the house in the northwest suburbs built on property purchased just a few days before the Bears cut him.The Bears, meanwhile, went 12-4 to win the NFC North in Nagy’s first season after four straight last-place finishes. Gould called him the “perfect fit” for the organization. He mentioned the connection to Kansas City, where Nagy worked on Andy Reid’s staff, and longtime Bears special teams coordinator Dave Toub has served in the same role since 2013. And he said he also keeps in touch with current Chicago special teams coordinator Chris Tabor.“Once a Bear always a Bear,” he said. “I truly mean that. This is where I spent 11 years of my life playing for an awesome organization. I’ve developed a lot of great relationships throughout the city but also the organization, just like I’ve done in New York, just like I’ve done in San Francisco. Will it happen? I don’t know.” Jeff Berckes: Welcome to 2019, the year the Bears rebuild was supposed to take shape and give us hope for a playoff run for 2020. Looks like we arrived a little early and I’ll say Tom Waddle Color Rush Jersey , reaching goals ahead of schedule feels pretty good. I’m inspired - maybe this is the year I lose weight, write a book, and learn how to dance the floss (although I’ll settle for not gaining weight, reading more, and remembering to floss more). What are your New Year’s resolutions? Patti Curl: Good question. I’ve been resolved to lose weight since I made the mistake of stepping on a scale in November, so I don’t think I can count that as a new year resolution. New Years eve definitely led me to resolve to never go to a crowded bar again. Thinking about it now, I’m deciding to also resolve to get less annoyed by people talking trash about our precious Biscuit. Speaking of Trubisky, how do you expect him to handle his first playoff appearance? Feel free to talk trash since I’m not allowed to get annoyed...JB: Most resolutions fail and fail early - 80% by February - so I’ll be impressed if you can avoid annoyance at the Trubisky haters. Here’s the thing, those haters are always going to be there because there are people in the world who just can’t be happy. It has nothing to do with Biscuit and everything to do with the empty space where their heart used to be, once upon a time, before they lost faith in humanity. That empty space becomes a receptacle for bile and vitriol and builds up like mercury in the bloodstream until one day, they go mad as a hatter and we all laugh at their ridiculousness. To paraphrase - ain’t nobody got time for that. If we want to shrink the pool of mad Biscuit hatters and haters, the best way will be for our hero to just keep winning games. I am confident that Nagy will continue to put Trubisky in a position to succeed and with the beat up Eagles secondary, he’s got a great chance to put up big numbers this weekend. Assuming Allen Robinson II is back at full strength Sam Acho Jersey , the weapons should be able to overwhelm the likes of Cre’Von LeBlanc. I’ve got a really good feeling about Robinson and Taylor Gabriel this weekend - I think they both go over 100 yards receiving. The Bears finished the regular season at 7-1 at home and Trubisky hasn’t lost a start since October - so why is it that I keep reading the Eagles are the hot team coming into the playoffs? Am I crazy for not being afraid of Nick Foles? PC: Probably. The man can certainly rise to an occasion. The problem for him of course is the higher he rises, the farther he’ll fall when Khalil Mack slams him to the grass. I personally hope his rib boo-boos don’t get any worse and he can give us an interesting game. Watching a quarterback squirm for four impotent quarters is fun when it’s a division rival, but will get boring for a second week in a row. I’ll say Foles will be good for at least one threatening deep pass, which will be caught by either Alshon Jeffrey or Eddie Jackson. Either way, it’ll be a one-time Bear. Beyond that, watching the Eagles recent successes, their offense relies a lot on yards after the catch. The Bears aren’t likely to offer them that luxury. What do you think of the coaching match-ups? Doug Peterson and Matt Nagy know each other well. I’m trying to remember what happened the last time Nagy played against a coach he knew well...JB: I like the coaching match up a lot. From a pure fan standpoint, these two guys seem like they’d be a lot of fun to play for. Seriously, who calls a play like the Philly Special at that point in the Super Bowl and what kind of guy is willing to throw to a backup linebacker on a 2 point conversion? I’ve long marveled at the Bill Belichick machine out in New England, but that system seems like a meat grinder where everything down to the last piece of athletic tape used to spat their shoes is calculated for cost-benefit. Coaches like Nagy and Pederson are having fun and willing to let it fly and we can’t underestimate the value of having fun on the job. I mean, I’ve been told having fun in your job makes it a lot more enjoyable and I’ll assume that’s true without personal experience to confirm. In a way though, the mentality of the two guys coming into this postseason would be different. Pederson is one year removed from reaching the pinnacle and I think he might just be relieved he snuck into the playoffs. Nagy, on the other hand, is new to the playoff experience but is basically playing with house money at this point. One has experience https://www.thebearsfanshop.com/Devin-Hester-Jersey , one has novelty. For Nagy, I don’t know if coaching against someone he knows provides an advantage, but you do wonder if he might take a risk and try something clever because he expects it from Pederson. I know we’re both on the Bears to win this weekend, so let’s not raise suspense on that account, but I want to know how you think it will happen. I think the defense dominates - and I mean dominates - by scoring more points off their turnovers than they allow. I think they get to Foles early and often and take the ball away from him at least 3 times. At that point, it’ll be on Trubisky and Nagy to grind clock and turn short fields into points. I’ve got our beloved Bears winning comfortably, let’s say by 17. What say you?PC: I like your vision of this game, but unfortunately I can’t shake the feeling that the Eagles will find a way to move the ball—just not as well as the Bears do. Last time the Eagles faced the Bears, their defense ruthlessly exploited the flaws in John Fox predictaball. I expect Nagy to orchestrate a more effective attack. Ideally, it will be one that barrages the Eagle’s weakness at corner back with an onslaught of beautiful sideline rainbows to Taylor Gabriel and Allen Robinson. I have no doubt they’ll be attempted. I’m just crossing my finger’s they’ll connect. If they do, a comfortable 17 to 37 point win sounds appropriate. JB: I like your resolve, Patti... Happy New Year, everyone!

Jason Garrett took to the podium on Thursday to break it all down. Here’s what he had to say. All answers are paraphrases and not actual quotes. What’s the message to the players at the end of these practice sessions?Jason Garrett praised the way the Cowboys have handled all of the offseason work, the effort has been outstanding through offseason programs. He voiced an idea of finishing strong and preparing the right way before training camp. Why isn’t there some sort of team bonding activity?A lot of NFL teams will cancel the last days of minicamps in order to do something like go to a movie or something similar. Jason Garrett mentioned that the Cowboys U event held last week sort of serves as the environment for the team to cultivate the camaraderie that they are looking for.Dak Prescott was a little competitive on WednesdayGarrett discussed working hard and competing and he noted that it can get quite competitive when roster spots are on the line. He described how competition can better each other and that it’s all very good for the team.As far as Dak Prescott’s involvement in this sort of thing, Garrett described how Dak is a natural competitor and that his leadership skills tend to shine in those kinds of moments. What kind of job has Kellen Moore done?Garrett is staying sort of ambiguous in his answer to the Kellen Moore questions. He mentioned that Moore has done a great job of leading his offense while working in lockstep with people around him (like Jon Kitna). Garrett praises the work being done without much detail. How different will the offense look?As far as to what degree the Cowboys offense will change, coach said you are always trying to evolve. This includes studying trends across the league, evaluating your own talent, and trying to have success in the best way possible. He noted they are doing this on both sides of the ball Womens Taco Charlton 2019 Jersey , offense and defense.Thoughts on what will be on his mind when arriving in OxnardGarrett noted that he’s always trying to lay the foundation and prepare to evaluate players. He mostly discussed just focusing in on what needs to be done and preparing for the season. Nothing of great detail was discussed.Key memories of Tony Romo’s evolution as a quarterbackCoach said that a lot of it came from the result of just playing. When Garrett arrived in Dallas (2007) Romo had yet to start a full season. He noted the more Romo gained experience in the NFL the smarter he became. Will Byron Jones and DeMarcus Lawrence be the only guys limited at training camp?Garrett noted that he didn’t want to be definitive about that. He said that everyone else is on track to be healthy which is ultimately the best news possible.Status on Ezekiel Elliott?Asked if he knows whether or not Ezekiel Elliott has spoken to the league about the status of his incident in Las Vegas, Jason Garrett said he did not know. He didn’t know if anybody in the organization had but said he hadn’t personally talk to the NFL.Leighton Vander Esch motivation for this year?Coach said he had a great year but has a long way to go. Said he is so driven and that his approach is outstanding even in the meeting rooms since his injury. He is engaged and wants to get better, he will tell you that he has got to get better.Demarcus Lawrence rehab? The focus is on rehab, he is in with the training staff and in the weight room, all reports have been positive. He’s not at all practices because of rehab but when he is out there he is encouraging others, he is a leader now. Shows leadership in his consistent example and approach, how hard he plays, etc.How did the offensive line get better with Marc Colombo? We grew as a team, we were young and we played young early last season Cheap Taco Charlton Youth Jersey , not playing consistently. Each of those things are learning experiences so as a team we grew and learned. Getting Amari Cooper helped and Marc Colombo was able to help them grow.Robert Quinn impact? He’s done a nice job, we were impressed when we played against him, he is an elite rusher for a number of years and an underrated run defender. He plays with determination, a real pro, serious-minded about his job, he is helping to set the pace.Coach also mentioned at the end that Noah Brown had a knee scope last week and should be back for training camp. Tavon Austin didn’t play much Saturday in his second game back from a groin injury, but he played enough to make an impact. The Cowboys running back/receiver/returner had one rush for minus-3 yards and a catch for 7 yards in his nine offensive snaps, but Austin averaged 14.6 yards on his five punt returns. He had a 51-yard return, which the Cowboys failed to capitalize on when Dak Prescott threw an interception and the end zone Dallas Cowboys Anthony Brown Jersey , and Austin had another punt return of 80 yards that was negated by a holding penalty on C.J. Goodwin.“I sure thought he made the kind of plays that in the playoffs will win the game for you,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said. “That鈥檚 why he鈥檚 here. He has the speed to make that kind of play.”Austin insisted after the victory over the Seahawks that he didn’t care who the Cowboys played in the divisional round. But the Eagles’ victory over the Bears on Sunday has the Cowboys headed to Los Angeles to play Austin’s former team.“I love the Rams to death,” Austin said Tuesday, via Kate Hairopoulos of the . “Every game is emotional. It ain’t really a difference. . . .I’m not going to make this a Tavon vs. the Rams thing. I’m over here, ready to have some fun and go play football.”The Rams traded the No. 8 overall pick from 2013 to the Cowboys in the offseason, and Austin admits it hurt initially.“You’re always going to feel disrespected because you’re getting traded,” Austin said. “Evidently, you ain’t doing something right or you ain’t getting it done or they don’t believe in you.”

TAMPA Bernie Kosar Jersey 2019 , Fla. (AP) — Chandler Catanzaro was confident he would redeem himself.“I think it’s part of my DNA. I’ve always kind of found of way to bounce back,” the Tampa Bay kicker said Sunday after his 59-yard field goal — the longest ever in overtime — gave the Buccaneers a 26-23 victory over the Cleveland Browns. “I rarely miss two in a row. Even if it’s from 59, I was just looking for a shot. If it was from 66, I would have tried it.”Catanzaro missed an extra point in the first half, as well as a 40-yard field goal on the final play of regulation. Concerned the Bucs (3-3) might not get the ball back if they punted, coach Dirk Koetter didn’t hesitate to give his kicker a chance to end it with 1:50 remaining in the extra period.“He hit it from 61 in practice this week, so I knew he had the distance in him,” Koetter said.“With the 10-minute overtime … we weren’t going to get the ball back,” the coach added. “So go for the win or hope for the tie. And the way that game was going, we were going for the win.”Tampa Bay, which recovered Jabrill Peppers‘ fumble near midfield on a punt return to give itself a chance, ended a three-game skid and handed the Browns (2-4-1) their 24th consecutive road loss — two shy of tying the NFL record.Cleveland, which has played four overtime games this season — most for a team since Arizona won all four it played in 2011, and tied for second most in NFL history — hasn’t won on the road since winning in overtime at Baltimore on Oct. 11, 2015.The Detroit Lions set the road futility mark with 26 straight losses from 2007-10.“We had our chances to win it. We just didn’t finish some things,” Browns coach Hue Jackson said.“This is our fourth overtime game. We’re not trying to get to overtime and if we do Orange Antonio Callaway Jersey , we want to win the game,” Jackson added. “We’ve got to find a way to finish these games in the W column.”Jameis Winston and DeSean Jackson scored on 14-yard runs for Tampa Bay (3-3).Rookie Ronald Jones II added his first pro TD on a 2-yard run that put Tampa Bay up 23-9 heading into the fourth quarter. The Browns, who had 126 yards of offense through three quarters, used Nick Chubb’s 1-yard TD run to cut into their deficit and pulled even on Baker Mayfield’s 16-yard pass to Jarvis Landry with 2:28 remaining in regulation.A week after completing just 48 percent of his passes and being sacked five times during a 24-point loss to the Chargers that Mayfield called the worst of his career, the No. 1 overall draft pick was 23 of 34 for 215 yards, two TDs and zero interceptions. The Browns’ defense forced four turnovers, including an interception in overtime, but Mayfield struggled to move the ball with consistency until the fourth quarter. But with Chubb playing a bigger role after Cleveland traded leading rusher Carlos Hyde to Jacksonville on Friday, Cleveland rallied.“It’s very frustrating any time you lose, especially because you could have done a lot of things better,” Mayfield said. “That seems to be the moral of the season.”Winston completed 32 of 52 passes for 365 yards and no touchdowns. He was sacked four times, threw two interceptions and lost a fumble. The 2013 Heisman Trophy winner also led the Bucs in rushing with 55 yards on 10 attempts. The Browns fell to 1-2-1 in overtime games this season. The four OT games are one shy of the record five Green Bay played in 1983.“The thing it comes down to is the little things,” Mayfield said. “If we do things right we can get a few more points.”CHANCES, CHANCESThe Browns forced four turnovers, two interceptions and two fumbles, but only one of them led to points. They wasted one scoring opportunity when Mayfield Antonio Callaway Jersey 2019 , scrambling on fourth-and-2 from the Tampa Bay 11, fumbled backward on his way to picking up the first down in the final minute of the second quarter. The Browns came away with no points again when, trailing 23-16, Mayfield was stopped for no gain on fourth-and-goal from the Bucs 1.The defense stepped up, forcing a punt that Peppers returned 32 yards to the Bucs 16. Mayfield threw his TD pass to Landry on the next play.BIGGER WORKLOADCleveland’s decision to trade Hyde for a fifth-round draft choice was driven by a desire to give Chubb more touches and also get Duke Johnson, the team’s best offensive playmaker, more involved. Chubb, who came in averaging 10.8 yards per carry, finished with 80 yards rushing on 18 attempts. He was targeted twice on passes, but did not have a catch.BETTER ‘DTampa Bay stopped a three-game losing streak that cost former defensive coordinator Mike Smith his job last week. The Bucs entered Sunday allowing a league-worst 34.6 points per game, ranked 31st in total defense, and dead last against the pass. They sacked Mayfield five times and allowed a season-low 305 yards in their debut under Smith’s replacement, former linebackers coach Mark Duffner.INJURIESBrowns: With CB E.J. Gaines sidelined by a concussion, T.J. Carrie started. The defense also was without LB Joe Schobert, who could be out several weeks with a hamstring injury. Cleveland did not report any injuries during the game.Buccaneers: DT Gerald McCoy (calf) and DE Vinny Curry (ankle) were inactive, leaving rookie DT Vita Vea and DE Carl Nassib to make their first starts for Tampa Bay. LBs Kwon Alexander was lost to a knee injury late in the second quarter. Backup LB Jack Cichy left in the third quarter and did not return.UP NEXTBrowns: at Pittsburgh next SundayBuccaneers: at Cincinnati next Sunday Who will it be? Here’s more from Brooks on what he specifically likes about Sweat:I would love this pick for the Panthers. Sweat is a guy who could at the very minimum rotate in as part of a third down speed package in the season opener. It’s something the Panthers have sorely lacked in 2018. Here’s the ‘shaky bull rush’ play in practice everyone is talking about:Sweat was also a standout player at the recent Senior Bowl. Just check out some of the videos in the links. This time every year I fall in love with a player that most of the time is out of reach for the Panthers. This year we appear to have a shot my early favorite. Keep an eye on Sweat at the combine. He is bound to have some wow factor Marquis Haynes Jersey , especially when it comes to his measureables. When you combine freakish measurements with on-field production you have a very good prospect. One final note, Sweat reminds me of a young Julius Peppers in the face... minus the big teeth. Today, we look at wide receivers.A lot of talk has been centered around how the Cowboys are going to pay their stars that are up for new contracts, most notably quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver Amari Cooper. Dak will command at least $30 million, while Cooper himself is also hoping to cash in on a big pay day for his efforts. Right now though, the two are under contract for the 2019 season, which is the good news.Prescott and Cooper built a strong connection over the second half of the season, especially against the likes of divisional rivals Philadelphia and Washington. Cooper is not the only receiver that has built a strong rapport with Prescott. Michael Gallup showed flashes of his potential over the course of his rookie season. He will be needed to take the next step in order to replace some of Cole Beasley’s production.Dallas also addressed Cole’s absence through free agency, inking a deal with veteran slot Randall Cobb — who they hope will be an immediate impact player. How does this position look heading into 2019?Amari CooperThe midseason trade for Amari Cooper appears to be one of the best moves that Jerry Jones has ever made. While the price of a first-round pick was a little high at the time, it proved to be worth it. Cooper changed the Cowboys from a team likely picking inside the top-15 to a playoff team that lost the round before Championship Sunday.Amari opened things up for the entire offense from the moment that he arrived Larry Allen Jersey , providing Dak Prescott with a legitimate weapon through the air while forcing defenses to think twice about committing to a full box to stop Ezekiel Elliott. Games versus Washington on Thanksgiving (8 catches, 180 yards, 2 touchdowns) and Philadelphia in December (10, 217, 3) showed us the former top-five overall pick can completely take over games. There are reports suggesting that Cooper wants to be paid like the talent he is, and he certainly has an argument for that. For now though, the Cowboys are hoping that their star receiver picks up where he left off this upcoming season.Michael GallupCooper grew into a big-time target for Dak, but Michael Gallup had himself a solid season as well. The rookie turned it on as he grew more comfortable on the professional level, using his speed to get by opposing defensive backs. The connection between Prescott and Gallup was not always there, but when the two hit, it usually went for a big gain.Gallup’s best performance of the season came in D.C. during the last game before Dallas traded for Amari, as the Colorado State Rams product hauled in three catches for 81 yards Deion Sanders Jersey Limited , including a 49-yard touchdown grab. With another offseason under his belt, along with better chemistry with his quarterback, Gallup has an opportunity to make a jump in his second season.Randall CobbCole Beasley is off to Buffalo, but Randall Cobb is here. Cobb, the veteran receiver that spent his entire career in Green Bay, signed a one-year, $5 million deal and will look to take over in the slot this season.Cobb has battled injuries throughout his career, specifically concerning hamstrings and concussions. Still though, Cobb is a player that can be productive when on the field and brings valuable experience to a young locker room.It looks like Cooper and Gallup will be the two primary options in the passing game, but the 29-year old has a chance to be a contributor for Prescott. Here is what he was able to do in week one last season:Dallas is banking on Cobb replacing at least some of Beasley’s production in the slot. If he can stay healthy, Cobb has a real chance of doing just that.Allen HurnsAllen Hurns was the “big” receiver signing last offseason, as the Cowboys lured him away from the Jaguars in hopes of him finding his 2015 form in which he put together a 1 Chris Jones Jersey Limited ,031-yard, 10-touchdown campaign in Jacksonville. However, Hurns struggled adjusting in Dallas, and failed to eclipse 30 yards receiving until Week 7. In total, Hurns grabbed 20 passes for 295 yards and two scores. Some of that can be contributed to the lack of production from the offense as a whole prior to the move for Cooper, but he did not live up to some preseason expectations either.Dallas opted to pick up Hurns’ option for 2019. The big question mark surrounding Hurns heading into the season is how he recovers from a gruesome ankle injury versus the Seahawks in the playoffs. Tavon AustinTavon Austin is a versatile playmaker that can contribute in a number of ways — receiving game, run game, and on returns — partly why the Cowboys decided to trade for him last offseason.Austin had an up-and-down season with the Cowboys — some big moments, some questionable ones, injuries, and some in between. Austin’s biggest play of the season with Dallas unquestionably came against the New York Giants in Week 2 when Dak hit him on a bomb:Austin is entering the final year of his deal, and the Dallas Cowboys drafted a player with a similar skill-set in Tony Pollard. What does this mean for Austin and his future in Dallas? That is a question Dak Prescott Jersey , but the speedster should provide a quality playmaker for Kellen Moore to work with in 2019.Other receivers that will be battling for potential spots on the roster include 2018 sixth-round draft pick Cedrick Wilson, wideouts that have been on the roster previously in Noah Brown and Lance Lenoir, and 2019 undrafted free agents Jon’Vea Johnson (Toledo) and Jalen Guyton (North Texas). It is debatable where the Cowboys’ receivers rank in the NFC East, but it would be insane to argue that the position does not look much prettier right now than it did at this point last offseason. Amari Cooper has the tools to be a star in Dallas, Michael Gallup looks primed for a rookie-to-sophomore jump, and Randall Cobb is a veteran wideout that can still make plays in the slot. How do you feel about the Dallas Cowboys receivers, BTB? Colt McCoy last started a game in 2014. He last won a game as a starter in Dallas, that same year. This year, McCoy steps into an opportunity to start up to six regular-season games and the postseason, if Washington makes it there. It all begins later today, in Dallas.A lot would have to happen for McCoy to become this year’s Nick Foles. But there’s already a clear connection between McCoy and Foles. Like Foles, McCoy signed a two-year contract before the season in which injury made him a starter. Which means that http://www.dallascowboysteamonline.com/bob-lilly-jersey , regardless of how well McCoy plays down the stretch, Washington already controls his rights for 2019.Next year, McCoy can make up to $3.5 million. Which will be quite a bargain if McCoy, in his ninth season, demonstrates the kind of ability in November, December, and January that would get the attention of other teams.Which is all the more reason for veteran backups to push for one-year deals, allowing them to parlay an unlikely chance to start and an even less likely run to greatness into a shot at the open market at a time when the iron is hot. Indeed, consider Foles; whatever he gets in 2019 will be far less than he would have gotten on the heels of becoming the Super Bowl MVP.
